Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of the Prairie Chapter of the Sierra Club of Canada Foundation!

It is our volunteers who primarily initiate new campaigns, with our staff supporting and providing any framework necessary. Please contact us if you would like to spearhead a project in your area!

 

Current Opportunities:

☐ Volunteer with Wild Child Edmonton (please note that your résumé and clean criminal record check will be required for this position)

☐ Volunteer leader in Winnipeg interested in native plants and prairie grasslands

☐ Volunteer leader in Saskatoon & Regina interested in wetland conservation

☐ Volunteer leader in Calgary

☐ Committed member from NWT or NU to join the Executive Committee and represent the North

☐ Computer and Media savvy volunteer to send out monthly newsletters and manage our social media pages



Ongoing Opportunities:

☐ Advocacy (e.g. meeting with city council, writing letters to MP's and MLA's)                

☐ Public speaking, giving presentations

☐ Research/prep for upcoming campaigns    

☐ Governance (e.g. sitting on planning committees)                     

☐ Outreach (e.g. calling members to renew, staffing booth at events)

☐ Social Media and Communications
